Don’t miss your chance to attend the upcoming Rain Barrel Workshop, an excellent opportunity to take a simple, hands-on step toward conserving water and protecting our local waterways. Click here to download the flyer!
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, May 13th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at the Northfield Center Township Office, 8484 Olde Eight Road. During this session, participants will learn how rain barrels help capture and reuse rainwater, reducing stormwater runoff and easing the burden on local drainage systems. Attendees will also build their own rain barrel to take home and use right away. Using a rain barrel can help lower outdoor water costs during the warmer months, making this workshop both practical and impactful. Register here!
The cost to participate is $65 per person, and payment must be made in advance by check or money order. Payments can be dropped off or mailed to 8484 Olde Eight Road and must be received by May 1st.
Residents should also note that the deadline to apply for the Stormwater Solutions Residential Grant Program, funded by the Summit County Surface Water Management District, has been extended to April 30th. Those who participate in the workshop may be eligible for reimbursement through this program, adding even more value. Click here to learn more.
