Residents enrolled in NOPEC’s electric and natural gas aggregation programs are encouraged to review several recent updates and educational resources now available through NOPEC.
NOPEC recently announced upcoming natural gas Standard Program Prices that will take effect with June meter reads and remain in place through December meter read dates. Residents interested in learning more about available options, including 12- and 24-month fixed term plans and the Monthly Variable Rate, can visit nopec.org/checkrates, email your NOPEC Relationship Manager, or contact NOPEC at [email protected] for additional details.
As part of an expanded effort to provide clear and accessible resident education, NOPEC also recently hosted its first Facebook Live educational presentation focused on electric aggregation and the electric anniversary enrollment letters that some residents may be receiving.
During the presentation, NOPEC’s Manager of Outreach & Education explained:
- Why electric anniversary enrollment letters are mailed every three years
- What information is included in the letters
- Whether residents need to take any action
- How residents can opt out if they choose

In addition, NOPEC recently highlighted two completed Savings Through Efficiency Program (STEP) financing projects in Chardon and Mentor. Through the STEP program, NOPEC provides low-interest financing opportunities that help businesses and communities complete energy efficiency improvements such as HVAC upgrades, roofing projects, and other infrastructure investments.
