Solicitation Policy

Northfield Center Township has established a solicitation policy to balance the rights of individuals and businesses with the privacy and safety of its residents.

Key aspects of the policy include:

  • Permit Requirement: All commercial solicitors must obtain a permit from Summit County before engaging in door-to-door activities within the township. If you're a solicitor, you can find Summit County's form on their website, or we've linked it here.
  • "Do Not Knock" Registry: Residents who prefer not to receive solicitations can register their address with NOPEC's "Do Not Knock" registry.   • Operating Hours: Solicitation activities are typically restricted to certain hours to minimize disturbances, though specific time frames should be confirmed with township authorities.
