  • Station Coverage
Coverage is dispatched from Macedonia’s main Fire Station and at least one substation (Station #3) located within Northfield Center
  • Staffing & Equipment
The department fields 30 full-time and 23 part-time firefighters, including paramedics, and maintains a fleet of seven ACLS ambulances, four engines, a mid-mount aerial tower, rescue apparatus, boats, and support vehicles.
  • Community Engagement & Prevention Programs: Smoke‑alarm installations, CPR training, fire‑safety presentations for schools, home safety evaluations, and open houses for station tours.

Why This Matters:

By partnering with the Macedonia Fire Department, Northfield Center Township ensures that residents receive high-quality fire protection and emergency medical response from a dedicated, full-time team. This shared services model offers faster response times, access to advanced equipment, and continuity of care without the financial burden of operating a standalone fire department. It’s a cost-effective, community-centered approach to public safety—designed to protect lives, homes, and peace of mind.
