Northfield Center Township would like to inform residents that the Service Department will begin collecting storm debris starting Monday, March 23 (weather permitting), following the recent windstorm.
Crews will make one pass throughout the township, so residents are encouraged to have all materials placed at the curb prior to the start date.
To help ensure an efficient and safe collection process, please follow these guidelines:
- Logs must be no more than 12 inches in diameter and cut into 18-inch lengths
- Branches may be longer, but should be placed with the cut (thicker) ends facing the street
- Do not place all materials in one large pile, as this creates a tangled mess that is difficult to process
- Separate leaf piles from branches
- Do not place branches or leaves in the roadway
- Do not place debris in roadside ditches; all materials must be placed within the road right-of-way
Following these guidelines will help crews complete collection as quickly and efficiently as possible.
If you have any questions, please contact the Service Department at 330-467-7646 ext. 6.
The Township appreciates your cooperation as we work to clean up storm debris and keep our community safe and orderly.
