We’re excited to share some wonderful news for Summit County residents! The Akron Zoo is hosting Summit County Community Appreciation Days, and as part of the celebration, Northfield Center Township residents can enjoy free admission to the zoo all month long in September.
This is a great chance to spend the day with family, explore amazing animals, and make fun memories — all for free! The Akron Zoo is located at 500 Edgewood Ave., Akron, OH 44307.
Here’s how it works:
- Each household can reserve up to four free tickets online at www.akronzoo.org.
- Tickets must be reserved in advance and are date-specific (so be sure to pick the day you want to visit!).
- Tickets will be emailed to you after reserving.
- To make sure everyone enjoys their visit, the zoo is limiting 1,000 community day tickets per date.
For residents without computer access, 20 paper tickets have been provided to the Northfield Center Township office located at 8484 Olde Eight Road. These tickets can be redeemed directly at the zoo’s ticket counter on the day of your visit.
For questions about Community Appreciation Days or to request additional tickets, you can reach out to Shirley Salzwimmer at (330) 375-2550 ext. 7240 or [email protected]. General zoo questions can also be sent to [email protected].
Don’t miss out on this opportunity to visit the Akron Zoo and enjoy a fun-filled day with your family — free of charge, just for being part of our community!
